Margoliouth, David Samuel

(1858-1940)
   English classical scholar and orientalist. He was born in London, and became a professor of Arabic at Oxford University. He published studies in the fields of Islamic history and literature, and edited medieval Arabic texts. His writings include The Origin of the 'Hebrew Original' of Ecclesiasticus and Relations Between Arabs and Israelites Prior to the Rise of Islam.
